Mx boots or runners which should i use?

Im getting a Z in march and was wondering if i should be purchasing Mx boots to ride or just use runners. I won't be racing at all. Just some sand riding, trail riding, jumping, and casual riding. I was wondering what most guys on here prefer. I find the boots uncomfortable but maybe its because i've only tried on a cheaper pair. Today i went and tried a pair of Oneal element boots on. Is this the way all Mx boots feel or do the more expensive ones feel better. Or do i even need them at all? Thanks for the help

Yea boots are the way to go even if your just messin around... all boots feel different.. im racing with some oneal element boots and all boots feel a little uncomfortable but once you break em in they arent to bad... its just what you prefer and price tag dosent always guarentee comfort.
