Rear shock

I was woundering about the rear shock on a 86 250R, The one that I just got needs to be rebult when I called one of the local honda shops they said they can no longer get oem shock parts for it. the R I got is 90% stock it has stock air box I was looking at a stock 400ex rear shock but it looks like the resevoir will hit the air box tube. that goes to the carb. any ideas? I need it the shock to work right . but dont have the buget for a new axis.

Send it to C&D, or derrisi. They can rebuild the shock to your wieght and riding style.
