I just recently purchased a Ricochet Bullet Swingarm Guard from RockyMountan and the fit and finish was great. I put it on with no problems and everything lined up great. I took it out today on my EX and did a little trail bashing. The one thing that I was when I hit something I noticed it more with it than with the stock unit. I guess that rocks sound a little louder though aluminum than stamped steel. When I got home I sprayed it off for a quick inspection and found the normal scratches and qouges, but other than that it looked great. Good purchase if you ask me. Even better if you got it before the price went up to $110.

I have a Pro armor swing arm skid, and I like it, was about 200$ Canadian so about $150 USD I think, it might have been less. It's bent right now, but has held up awsome, going to bend it back and keep going. Skid plates are definately a good idea!

I have Armadillo skids, they are the best I have ever had, held up much better than my UM ones. I ran several XC races and a year on the trails with no bends or problems.

prm all the way

as long as you get a250 thick one, you'll be ok. the .190 bend like paper...

i have run armadillo on both the 300ex and 400ex and have not had one bend at all, and they took one heck of a beating. on friday, i ordered a prm for my 06 450r...i knew prm has them for the 06, wasn't sure about armadillos being updated for the 06, so it was a prm for me...

I love my AC skids. They're $109.95 for the engine skid and $124.95 for the swingarm skid(for a 450r).:macho

AC skid plates are trash if you ride anywhere near rock. I went through 3 and then I bought PRM. I'm still on the same PRM.

Armadillo, but of course I have to say that cause I have one for sale... .25 swinger skid for a 400ex. almost new 50 shipped or trade for other 400ex stuff
I have also used prm with no problems

No Speedy you didn't run and AC I did...and it lasted 1 ride.....you started out with a Graydon .190...I won't run anything but PRM.....I run a .250 Swinger skid and a .190 belly pan on my 450R.....

i thought the graydon came first...either way they were both junk...but both were .190. a .250 is necesssary for the swinger skid. the chassis skid can be a .190 it don't get hit as much and the design does not allow it to bend as easily either

Nope the AC was first.....then the Graydon.....AC Stuff doesn't fir worth a crap either......Nothing I have had that had that big AC logo on it has fit....I would stay far away from AC Swinger skids

Agree on the PRM .250 No need to look elsewhere for the swingarm!

the armadillo is just as good as the prm and is 20 bucks cheaper...
