depends what is the stock sprocket size? for example if stock is 13 and u put a 14 on you will loose bottom end and gain top. if stock is 13 and u put 12 on you gain low end and loose top end.

You gotta be careful with what gearing you put on.

EX: My bud threw on a 14 tooth front sprocket on his 450R (yes I know you have a 400, just a reference). I believe that 13 is stock. He now can't pull 5th gear.

The answer to your ? is yes and yes.

Its not to noticable of a difference in top end. But youll get a little bit more bottom end.

I did that to mine and there is a noticable gain in bottom end and 5 th pulls harder but you will lose about 5 mph on top end. Unless you use 5th alot then it is definitly worth it in my opinion.

i noticed that it was like it had shorter gears. you shift sooner than if you had the 15t on.

idk i got a 14t on my 400ex and i love it i mean yea you might loose 5mph but how often do you really top it out......I rather get up to speed 5 seconds quicker(IT pulls way harder!!!) and loose 5 Mph then take a long time to get up to speed with a 15T

IDk if you understand that but the 14T is a really good investment!

if you do any kind of jumping, you may find the gears to be kinda short. thats why i put the 15t back on.

other people may feel diff.
