shift lever adjustment?

I just recently bought a pair of riding boots. The second i got on my ex i realized the boots don't fit too well between the shifter and the foot peg. Is there anyway too adjust the shifter up to make more room for my foot, or is there an after market peg that sits a liitle lower? If you guys know of anything that would be great thanks!

remove the bolt from the shifter, slide the shifter off the shaft, reposition it to suit you, reinstall bolt

right on man! Thats a huge reliefe to find out. Shifting on that thing was becoming a pain. thanks for the help
