View Full Version : Quick-How do I get Off Lock Nut

I am workin on this right now and i need some info on how to get off my lock nut. Anything will help.

Its reverse threaded.

There is a collar, and to large nuts on that collar. When its tight the nuts will overlap the collar holding it tight.

You want to get your nuts:rolleyes: close to the center of the collar , so they don't over lap.

This will let you slide the collar closer to the bearing carrier, which will give you access to the ring clip, pop that ring clip out and the rest is cake.

I know what your talking about but I can not move the inner nut. Is there a trick?

use a monkey wrench, then go out and by yourself a nice new easy to adjust axle lock nut, like ones from SPEED or R&D racing

I tried a Big ***** wrench but could not budge it

try going the opposite way on the outside nut..

I've tried both ways. will try again I recon
