how can i convince my parents to let me buy performance parts for my quad i really want the items that are in my sig.

They probably dont want it to become unreliable, theyre more worried about you wasting money on something thats going to break down on you and having to keep putting more money into it to keep it running. I dont know what to say to convince them, but maybe let them know that your going to do extra precautions to the engine to make sure it stays reliable and do more maintenance to keep it in shape.

there more woried about that i wont get the money i put into it back when i sell it. also when i ask them about new parts they ususally dont aweser me they just say thangs like " neat or cool" and just walk away

Well that is true, it wont really raise the value of your 400ex. It definately raises the fun level though. Are you paying for it or your parents?

tell them hat your motor has been put through alot of stress from you riding all the time, and that you need to rebuild your engine to keep it running, becuase, you know, a quad that wont start becuase of worn out engine parts wont have any value

just tell them the parts are important for the performance, and reliability of your quad, and without them, you risk seizing your engine, and ultimatly ruining your quad

which, by all means, is true to an extent

Don't try to BS your parents! There not stupid and they'll know your BS'n them. If your buying them, just do it and don't tell them because it seems like they wouldn't even notice. But I'll tell ya something, I wish I could take back all the money I spent on aftermarket parts and put it towards something else. Your parents are right, the value of your quad doesn't go up with these parts. I've wasted a crap load of money on that thing and you'll never get it back:(

Your talking $100.00 for the piston, I'm guessing $150.00 for the cam (don't know much about hotcams) and I believe you said HMF slip-on which would run at least $250.00. So, ESTIMATING of $500.00 for just the parts. I don't know what a local shop would charge ya? I did mine with friends:D

Giz400ex those three thangs are the only parts besides nerfs and a set of skid that i want for my quad i not ont of the people that put 10-15 grand into the quad because u are going to beat it
