Okay, so I installed an FCR40 on my KFX400 with a Yosh 450 motor and have the jetting pretty close. Now the only thing that concerns me is the airboots. I am using the stock airbox and stock boots, but they don't reach far enough onto the carb for me to feel comfortable.

I thought I remember reading that some people were using EX400 airboots (from the carb to the airbox??) and DRZ boots (from the carb to the cylinder??), does this sound correct? Any recommendations?

Thanks,

I have the 400ex boot on my Z, I also have an aluminum airbox and the FCR 39 carb. The 400ex boot works good but its a little longer so it might take some trimming to get it to all work perfect.

Well, you can get a dremel tool adn grind out you stock head boot or get a drz400 boot which would be better.

Well I've heard you could use the boot from an 03 or earlier model 400ex on with that carb. Im going to be trying that pretty soon. Maybe this week if i can get a hold of one. i
