what were you riding in, concrete:p simple green always worked for me. Greased lightning automotive works pretty good. Do you have a pressure washer or pressure nozzle?

i just ride dirt, are you supposed to let the simple green sit? i let it sit for like 2-3 minuits. And i just used a hose, not a pressure washer. my other quads are so much easier to clean then the 250r, i think its cause of the damn powdercoat

a pressure washer or a hose with a nozzle help a lot. I let it sit for about a minute. It could be the powder coat, im not sure.

Your bike won't come clean with a garden hose. You HAVE TO HAVE a pressure washer, no questions asked, hands down, period. Don't even bother wasting 3 hours with a hose, just buy a pressure washer, even an electric Karcher will do.

Simple Green is the only heavy duty cleaner that is aluminum safe. All other will pit the aluminum on your bike. Read the precautions or directions on Greased Lightning or Purple Power or the orange stuff...
Use Simple Green on everything, use engine degreaser on your engine, carb and swingarm. Use hot water helps even more.

I soak mine with simple green, wash, soak again

then if its warm out I get a bucket of warm soapy water and wash the quad twice, take a tire brush and scrub my tires down, etc

dry, soak with wd40, wipe everything down

polish everything and I'm set to go.

what do you xc guys do, I'm doing a xc race here soon and its been awhile since I've done a xc race, I allways use to soak my quad with wd40 or pam right at the track and it allways seemed to help.

you really dont have to use the mop-n-glow, but it makes the plastic look real good and it make it easier to hose off the next time.

Yes it will. I spray the heavy mud off, wipe it clean with a scrubby thing then spray it clean. Dry it off, then put some armor all on the fenders. Then fix ur hair in the reflection :D

Simple green works for me. Greased lighting will pit the aluminum.

Simple green, a brush and elbow grease.

WD 40 wiped all over after its dry, except the brake rotors and seat.
Armor all on the plastics if you want, but WD 40 works well too
