450R from the ground up

Hi

Well I just sold my EX and can't find a good deal on a used 450R, so I think I might just build one from the ground up.

I was wandering if anyone has anything...starting with the frame, aftermarket suspension, etc...

I have a limited budget, and I am looking for good prices, so basicly used stuff, I don't want anything new ( unless you want to sell it cheap ).

if your on a budget your probably best to wait and find a 450r, it will cost you a lot more than you anticipate if you build one yourself IMO

yeah I know, but I was checking the prices, and I want to make this R mx ready...and I think I can get a quad mx ready for cheaper then buying a full bike and then modding it!!!

I will be looking for LT shocks, a-arms, axle etc...I just want to make sure I can put my hands on a frame first, before I buy anything else...what are they valved for? are they the elite or just normal? and what about the rezzies? Do you have pics? ecc0047@umoncton.ca

As soon as I can get a frame I will start buying the rest of it, so post what you got, and I will take the stuff I like, or the best prices

170lbs xc rider, for plus +1 arms

they arent elite, but the step down from them, i think theyre called the racing series, they are just compression and rebound adjustable, but no high/low like the elites

there was a guy parting out a complete R. I believe I even seen a powder coated frame on there

i have a herrmann racing linkage and a white bros e2 exhaust i can sell if u need stuff like that..

Ebay! I built a 250r from the ground up. Trust me....it will cost you a whole lot more than you are expecting. If you really want to do it, check the classifieds here, ebay, classifieds on trx450r.org and 450rhq. You should be able to find a ton of parts on ebay. Good luck.
