wow this is cool! my dad got a new client to deal with his company, and they have a whole machining lab, he said he could get the owner to machine my parts for my shocks out! we sent him the files, and he is making sure all the dimensions and constraints are all okie dokie, and if thats a. ok, he is gonna cut'em out
here is what the finished product will look like, 19.5inch lt, non adjustable, threaded preload, 5/8 inch shaft, emolsion shock

that sounds cool and all, but where are you going to get the springs for it, and how did you design the valves and all of the other internals.

lots of time is what it took... that and i took apart a works shock to see what all was involved inside, i took it from there, measured all the parts with a micrometer and designed all the internal pistons, seals, etc. components from it
if i wanted to, i could use the works internals if i wanted, they are all the same dimensions, except the shaft length would be to short
edit, o yah, the springs will be hopefully be supplied by elka once i can get ahold of them

sure, thats how chineese do it, buy something american and take it apart and duplicate all the parts. with their cheap labor they can make the same quality in a 1/4 of the price. go for it
