I am going too probally pick up an 04 tomorrow or i might get an 06 just bc i dont really know about getting used but with the extra money i could mod it but anyway what is the differneces between them mainly in speed but anything else would help also like dislikes even????

the 06 already has a higher comp piston and it rev's higher. from what ive heard the 06 is supost to be great compared to the 04-05.

But is like a huge difference in speed or just a little bit that doesnt mean much!!!!

the 06 lengthened the swing arm 1/14 (what most do with the 04/05), new linkage, lengthened the shock (again, the same length that most ppl are putting on aftermarket for the 04/05)changed the airfilter, mount points for the front shocks got moved a tad,changed the hood/light design, made changes to the CDI, carb is now an FCR, and the bore and stroke is now the same as the dirt bikes with a higher compression piston, essentially the motor is the same as the 450X

i have heard the radiator got a touch bigger and the gas tank got a touch smaller in 06 as well..

and yes, stock vs stock or hrc vs hrc, the 06 is going to be a touch faster
