do they both serve the same purpose?

also how can you tell if your bars are bent or the steering stem? i wrecked this weekend and have a slight tweak now and need to try and figure out what to buy. Thanks

I am not 100% sure. But the anti vibe stem would cut down on vibration to your hands, or anything upper the stem. The steering stabilizer would help decrease bump steer. Like a shock absorber.

In all honesty, most folks will not feel anything helpful from an anti vibe stem:ermm: that was pushed as the cure when in reality it was an easier way for companies to manufacture a stem top. the stronger stems and lengthened units have other purposes but cutting down on noticable vibration is not so noticable that id feel comfortable making that thier #1 attribute.

A good stabilizer/dampner is worth its weight in gold.
