after riding for every day till 1:00 am and getting up at 930 am

i realize that my 400 is not as reliable as you all think they are..

my hub keeps coming loose , my axle was loose one day, then one time my damn lights,starter everything went out i missed a whole day i was looking at every connnection and everything then found out it was a fuse and i didnt have the right damn fuse so i had to wait another day to go by..

after all of that in this short week or 2 maybe 3 there has been alot of unnecasary maintaince i think....

so far i think i tightened up more hubs then i changed my dang oil.:grr

So far my 1999 400 has been very reliable:) . As for your hub, do you know if there is a cotter pin in place on each side of your axle to keep the nut that holds your hub in place from coming loose? I am shocked to hear that your axle has come loose on your new 2002 atv.... Sounds like they didn't tighten it up to spec. at assembly.:confused:

I wrench on mine alot. The only bolts that come loose are the ones I played with and not used thread lock on.
