I've bought and sold alot of things on ebay, and several quads. One thing I do is only buy from sellers with a high ebay rating, and make sure they are close enough to either meet them or pick it up with cash in hand. The easiest way to avoid a scam is to go get it, not to have it shipped.

they are all scams, email them and read the email u get back, saying that they moved to moscow rusia or Berlin germany and thats where the quad is located

I sure hope that's a joke.

There are some on eBay that go for cheap because people need to get them off their hands and need the extra cash for their next season quad. Then there are the potential scams but I would request to talk to the person on the phone before hand and be able to see it in person before I buy it.

I just bought a 04 yfz really cheap on ebay and had no problems. The only thing I can say is try to pick the bike up yourself and pay the man when you get thier. There is alot of scams going on so beware.

FlashYFZ is offering very good advise. It cost me $4000.00 to learn that lesson. Make sure you are the winning bidder and the transaction is insured by paypal if your not. Anything that requires Western Union to wire the money is probably a scam.

YFZ break down from lack of maintianance after all it is a race engine and should be kept on a rigid maintainance schedule. Doing oil changes after every ride or two, replacing top ends twice a year, crank once every year or two, and if parts are bent or broken replace them immeadiatly. As long as you keep up w/ it it will last forever.

A few months ago I was lookin at YFZ's and the price of one was like $4,000 for a $15,000 dollar quad. I emailed him and said whats wrong with the quad. He nothing is wrong with it he is just located in London because his son is getting a kidney transplant and thats why he needed the money. I responded with I hope ur son gets the kidney without my $4,000. :blah:
