i never understood how that double monitor thing worked. Do you just plug the one in to the video carb and the other into the serial port?

It is a different video card. It can handle up to 4 monitors.

If having 2 monitors makes me a nerd then so be it. But i must be the best off nerd having a beautiful loving girlfriend:) and an awesome quad i love just as much.

If you have two AGP slots on your motherboard you can just buy another AGP video card, if you only have one AGP slot, you can buy a PCI slot video card and plug it into your computer, then hook up a second monitor and Windows XP will recognize the second monitor, and that's the low down on a WinXP system with dual monitors. With two monitors you can basically drag stuff from one monitor to the next, and effectively have one computer running both of them.

I mainly use it for photoshop and web design. This way i have more room for all the tools etc. and i can have an html program on one screen and then photoshop on another. Makes it alot easier.

Sony Vaio, Mac iBook, IBM Thinkpad. IDK the numbers on them or anything, but the Mac is for photoshop, the Vaio is for interwebbing and aim, and the Thinkpad is so I can go interwebbing anywhere in the house.

I'm only using my laptop right now, because my other computers are in storage, but I use a dual monitor system on one machine myself. I have and third monitor also, running on a separete system with a KVM switch so I only have to use one keyboard and mouse. The dual monitor system was a really great idea!

Here is my computer room. The light from the windows can make it difficult to use during the day. Of course, I should be finishing the trim around the window frames during the day anyway!
