Well the time is finally here. Time to hang up the keys for a month or so to upgrade my bike. Winter teardown time has arrived.

The bike will be torn down to frame and completely changed basically. Powdercoated frame and a few accessories. New suspension. New clutch. New plastics. New Controls. New stem. New Tires. New Axle. Basically a whole new bike.

don't make fun of the redneck ATV stand, but it worked great. much better then the ground. it looks so weak sitting in a pile in the corner.

When you get them a arms on lift the bike up so the shocks are fully extended and turn the the handlebars left and right and see if a brake caliper bolt hits the a arms. Two people I know were losing there brakes and it was because of this.

Let me know how the setup works! I thought about getting the Elites, but I think I'll stick with just the Comp./Rebound, like what you have.

What rear linkage are you running?

I have read about them hitting the calipers, and I was surprised to see how many riders were running them at the first GNCC, so there must be a fix. I saw that Chris Jenks is running them on his GT Thunder 450R, so maybe getting a hold of Laz is the way to go.

i called houser today...they are sending me new lower arms that are made correctly this time.

i did not get the die. i thought the green alone would look cool as ****. i looked into just getting clear hose and making it myself...but i coudln't find anything that was going to seal up right. so i figured what they hell...i have already put this much money into it...lets go all the way and get all the bells and whistles.

an update on the a-arm situation...

called houser today, they had an issue with one of the batches of a-arms that caused the problem i am having. something to the effect that they were not made right, but the first batch was? i was a bit confused. he reassured me that I would have one of the first arms off the assembly line and that i didn't have anything to worrry about.

they are sending me a new set of lower arms later this week when they come out of production and powdercoat. so that is good. even tho that doesn't help me for this weekend. i am happy about that...

Problem is finding some clear hose that holds up to the heat for a decent price, I tried that before and it leaked when it got over 120* and that was for high-temp
As far as the arms, it looked like the setting were a bit off, like the lower arm didn't have enough camber adjustment

WELL....finally have everything ready for this weekend. HOPEFULLY i don't run into any more problems.

I got overnighted the right arms from houser today. They moved the lower tube farther in so the caliper can't hit them. SO i should be good to go. the brakes are going a lil better today. got to work on that during my lunch hour.

need to get the chain on. the skids on. check all the bolts. and get er started. i am getting excited, too bad I cuoldn't take off work today. damnit!!!

ill get pics tonight. the only major thing it will be missing is the white plastics and the quad tech seat i ordered today.

FINALLY GOT HER RUNNING. THREE KICKS AND IT WAS PURRING.

I put the rear fenders on and put 30 minutes of riding in. now i have to go over the entire thing again and hit all the bolts to make sure everything is tight.

i did a lil suspension dialing, got the rear from bucking as much. got the front a shat load softer then stock. its amazing what suspension made for YOUR weight and style riding can do for ya.

going to budds creek tomorrow for the race...should be intereseting. i can't freaking wait.

got some of the graphics on today...i am super unimpressed with the fit of the xgx kit. i had to do alot of cutting and trimming for it to fit. even worse was getting it to fit the lines of the plastics!! the updogs fit right on with no glich...but not the xgx...it looks good, but doesn't fit or line up for crap. i had to cut the fender section in two peices cause it in NO way fit the front fenders!!!! very ticked about that right now. the gas tank wouldn't follow the lines for crap. i had to cut and splice a few sections to get it to lay flat. it looks good now after about 3-4 hours of messing with it.

I am kinda iffy on it myself right now. I am sure when I am done with it ill like it better. It needs the fenders and xc tires back on it. plus it doesn't look as good stuffed in the garage like that. the stuff isn't even bolted on the bike. it is just laying on there. haha.

Do you know how wide you are sitting in the front with the 4+1 offset?

it is -.5 from stock...

i am running 3-2's now actually because of that. i didn't like it. pushed alot. even pushed with stock wheels till i got the front suspension set up good enough.

it pushed cause i went with +1 rear axle! now it is pretty good. +1 in front +1 in the rear. handles great!!

true, i just really liked your set-up as it looks almost identical to mine minus my current wheels and tires.
