I finnally got the die grinder to grind the nut off the crankshaft that is keeping me from splitting my motor. Its stripped on there. When I got the grinder, it came with ten bits. What bit should I use? The type that came with it are sorta sand stone feeling. I think that there has to be something better to take more material off quicker. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks

BTW, rpm is adjustable up to 25,000

stone bits will take forever. use/get a solid carbide bit.

what nut are you grinding? is the nut stripped or the threads? i'd just get a set of the craftsman stripped nut remover socket things if it's the nut itself.

Take it to a good tig welder, have him weld another nut to the stripped out one. Then you can take the tightened nut off without damaging the crankshaft. Its the nut holding on the magneto? It'll take a long time grinding and will likely damage the threads

Well, the outside of the bolt is not stripped, its the inside threads on the crank and or the bolt. The crank is trash anyways. That is a good idea though, I ll remember that for other problems that may come up.

Then take an air chisel and split the nut, if the crank is trash.
