rear wheel studs

i fecked the rear wheel studs and nuts on my 400ex you are unable to get them from honda any ideas

I would be interested as well, I bought a new one about a year ago because I messed up the studs

if i remember corectly, a 400ex you have to buy the studs with the hub, but you can order the 300ex studs by there self. they will work in a 400ex hub. might be the other way around tho, i cant remember

Can you press the studs out somehow?

hit them out and use the nuts to draw them back in

if you didnt mess your studs up to bad try using a tap an die it worked for mine i stripped the stud out an it works fine now

What size/pitch are the threads on the stud? I would check but I am at work!

it was like a 10.125 tap an die if thats what ur looking for

yeah, they will press right out no problem

Honda doesn't sell the studs. For some reason I can't imagine.

But they are just pressed in there and are easy to remove. Would be east to install also if you can get some.

I had the same problem and bought a hub w/ studs.

I still have my old hub . I welded new bolts I got from the hardware store in there..

i bought studs only from a honda dealership in louisville (station park honda) i forgot how he said he got them, i think the part list the studs and hub, but you can call honda and get just the studs, it wa something odd like that

how about the trx450r studs you can buy them seperate and the part numbers for the nuts are the same unlike the 300ex

right i have been looking into this not sure 300ex is right but the 450r one just may work the hubs will fit 24 spline the replacement stud is m10x36 so i got an old ex one and that is m10x36 so it looks like this is the answer so i'm ordering some up tomorrow i will let you know

for all your people that need rear studs for their 400ex then 450r will fit part number is - 90103ha2003
these are an exact match in ever way to the 400ex studs
