Alright so this happened pretty much all of the sudden. I was out jumping my double, running great, and then after I landed once it started cutting out right at midrange. It idles fine, but while its in neutral, and I try to rev up through midrange, it acts as if it is flooding possibly, or should I say bogging?? I do have a jet kit and do have a high comp. 440 and I do run 100 octance fuel. The head gasket also looked fine. I tried leanin out a bit, and it got worse, and also tried running a bit richer, and it didnt help either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

did you check your needle? i have had the screws holding the need in back out the the needle fall out, causing it it get too much fuel too soon.

Alright Im really to the point where I have no idea whats wrong, it really bogs/cuts out in upper midrange, not quite top end. The only other things that I havent really looked into yet is the floats in the carb(if that would even make a difference), and im getting ready to check the head gasket. I have no idea. Please help.

my buddies 400 was doing the same thing (cutting out past half throttle). He messed with his carb for 2 weeks, and finally figured it was the timing. It had jumped off 3 degrees

my 400 ex had a problem like that it would idle fine but when u would rev it up it would cut out all the time. i tightened the nut on the cord running to the coil and that fixed it. i dont know if that will work for u but it worked for me

Found out after all that it was off time. Seems as though the ole cam chain was getting pretty stretched out. Already have a new one on the way. Thanks for the help.:D
