Nope, but you will have to remove almost everything else. Make sure you know what you are doing or whoever is doing the work.

you dont have to but personally i think it would be easier so you dont have to get around the frame... its only a couple more bolts and wires and pull it out vs fighting around the frame the whole time your working on it

i decided iam going to take it out because it got shavings in the crank case
