I just set up website for my friend whos dog is very sick. He has had the dog since he was 9 years old and the dog has stuck by his side through 6 foster homes. Now that he goes to college, he cannot afford to get the dog health care and she is going to die without medication. If this dog dies so young, I can't imagine the effects it will have on him. I already talked to Harlen and he gave me the thumbs up to post this here.

Please, check out the site and pass it around to as many people as you can. It would really mean the world to him.

Please, if you have any negative comments to say, keep them to yourself. I worked hard on building this site and it is for a good cause.

I stopping at the vets tommorow (so far people have donated 20 dollars) and asking them how much a routine check up is and im gong to ask them to keep a jar for donations there as well. I'm guessing i'll need 100-200 for vet costs (time and medication). Maybe even more if she needs surgery.

Once again everyone, thank you so much

im guessing the dog is about 10 years, if hes had it since 9. so he probly dont have a lot of time left. i would just put the poor thing down. its hard to see them at the vet trying to get better, just to lose them

At this age, the dog shouldnt be looking at death quite yet. There's obviously something wrong with her, if her health has dropped so drastically. It would kill my friend to see her go so soon, atleast i can try.

I myself cant donate much money but i can donate my time to helping the dog and him. This is basically our last resort and hopefully it works. There have been some donations already and im hoping that we can reach our goal.

If that dog is only 10 years old.. it easily has 7 years of life left in it. Smaller dogs can live a lot longer than the larger breeds. I had a miniature poodle (Renee) that lived to be 19, beagle (Chaffee) to 17, currently have a mutt (Muffin) at 17 and a cat (Button) at 21. (also have a lepoard geko at 9, an african firebelly toad at 13, and 2 oriental firebelly's at 6.)

There's no reason that Eli's best friend Niki wouldn't have another good 5+ years in her.

I have a austrailian ridge back that is 15 years old (they usually only live to 10) and she was sick as hell at 9 and my step mom took her to the vet and shes just now coming to the time where she is on her last breathe. The dog is well worth saving imo!

Yeah she is worth saving. We are slowly getting there but I dont think not enough people are seeing the website.

Does anyone know of how I can it out to more people across the net?
