A stock 400ex carb should be dang near a perfect fit.

i ran a 400ex carb on mine, you might want to get a 300ex carb boot though, fitting the 400ex one on the 350x is a PAIN,it will go on though;)

you would have to get an adaptor or something to reduce the carbs O.D to fit.otherwise theres no way your gonna get it to go.a 400ex carb is a challenge in itself:)

Actually, the 350x boot should fit up a better than the 300ex boot. That's why people swap the 300ex boot witha 350x boot when they put a 400ex carb on the 300ex. ;)

use a 300ex manifold(head to carb) on the 350x which has a bigger spigot opening than the 350x one and will take the 400ex carb. then run a 350x or 400ex airboot(carb to airbox), i wouldn't run the 300ex airboot its too restrictive on a bigger motor. if you use the 350x airboot you'll have to stretch it to get it to fit. you can boil it in water or use a heat gun and then jam it on. or a small poland springs water bottle bottom is about the same size and works good for shaping it.

exactly,i have them both and the 300ex flange is bigger.go figure
