hey

I just bought a new honda fully built

I was wanting to put a aftermarket subframe on it because I have seen a lot of them break

I have been searching on the net for them and I have not found anything. anyone know any companies that make them?

********.com did a test on one a while back. Are you planning on selling your old one if you do. If so I would be very interested in buying it from you. I have a project idea and I need another subframe to do it.

I'm sure if you wanted one. Jody @ JB Racing would be able to make a killer one.

You haven't found much on the net because in general they don't break.
Look at most of the bikes at any GNC race. The Honda 450Rs almost always have a stock, unmodified subframe.
Sure, someone will break one. But, most people don't.

I've heard and seen only 2 instances where a 450R subframe has broken. :)

Yea i agree, and plus the ones that i have seen break were from wrecks and it flipping.

Hey Austin, the stocker should be good to go. I'm on my 2nd 450R and didnt have any problems with the subframe breaking....I've seen a few break in the back where the small cross bar is but thats it. They were from the bike taking a tumble thought....just keep it rubber side down:devil:

see ya at Nocona....

Yo austin its Kyle..

No reason to replace the stocker. Its light weight and is tough as long as you dont go end over end.

Plus the deal I can get you on a new OEM one, it wouldnt even be worth getting an aftermarket! :eek2:
