i think for a team race, it would be real nice, but how does it work? if you want to use the thumb, what stop the throotle from opening if you twist the throttle?

it really is a pretty ingenious idea. i think a few teams used this in the baja and other team events. some riders swear by twist, some thumb. so now you don't have to compromise, best of both worlds. it's not like you use both at the same time. i would've loved one of these when we were running the 6 and 12hr races.

It might be nice for longer races, like baja, or the 6 or 12 hour races, where there will be 3+ riders taking turns on riding the quad. But for the average rider, it is just useless, and a plain bad idea. Thats going to be one of those odd ball parts that will be made for a couple years, then will dissapear.

Now that cdrookie mentions it, it would be a good idea for ppl racing a long race who are switching riders who prefer one setup vs. the other. I know for myself, I can't stand thumb after getting used to the twist throttle. Its not practical for the everyday rider though!
