450r rear shock on 400?

i know the fronts are interchangable but i was just wodering if a 450r rear shock will fit on my 400ex because i recently blew my shock and the 450s are a lot cheaper on ebay than the 400 thanks

don't know where u been looking but a stock 400ex shock is selling just as cheap. Your best bet would just be get your shock rebuilt. The 450r shock will fit, but the valving is way off because of the different links used on 450's.
