What bike? most increase about 1000rpm, some are more, but few are less unless they are a stock limit with a new curve

My thoughts, spend the extra money and buy an MSD Ignition for it. I bought mine some 2-3 years ago at $425. Hopefully they have gone down in price since. But with the work to your motor and you wanting to get the most out of it go to the MSD. It has a revlimiter adjustable up to 10,250 rpm's or as low as 6,000. It also has an adjustable timing curve which will allow you to adjust when you really want the motor to come alive. As well as the option to retard your timing as much as 4 degrees from current, and advance it 2 degrees from current. And last but not least, it has an adjustable wholeshot revlimiter. Works awesome for drag racing. All of this is adjustable by flipping a couple small swithches. Not to mention, MSD burns a spark nearly twice as hot as a factory ignition. Really makes sure you get all the fuel in the cylinder.
