Hey, I have a small dilemma I am trying to decide on. Right now I have already purchase a set of 19" MXR4 tires for my 450r. I am waiting on my beadlocks that are on backorder, so during this time I started to contemplate getting 18"s instead to run. I am racing NEATV, and I know I will definately run the 19's at Southwick. My question is there anyone that has seen the tires side by side or ridden on the two sizes to see if there is that much of a noticable difference between the two tire sizes? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i would stick with the 19s, a little extra ground clearance is nice, i would consider buying a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket if acceleration is an issue but i dought it will be, 450r's have alot of power. i ran 19 MXR4s on my 05 400ex and i loved them. just my 2 cents

i highly doubt that u would be able to notice a difference in the hight of either tirer. personally i would go with the 19 because i bet there a little bigger which means more clearence. dont bother with ordering another expensive set of tires.

id go with 18s. the gear ration matches the 18s perfect. plus they look better

It will only cost me $100 for the two tires from my sponsor, so it's not a big deal. But I just wondered since I already have the 19's if I should just stick with them, or also get the 18's. The only track I really need the extra clearance is southwick, very sandy track, which I know the 19's will excel at. There are only 2 races out of like 12 where I will need these 19's. I am just thinking maybe get the 18's, mount them on my beadlocks, and mount the 19's on the stockers for southwick. Anyway, keep the opinions coming...

If you already have the 19''s, then for sure get the 18'' on your beadlocks. That is the same thing im going to do. The majority of the track around here are hardpack or dirt, which you definatly need the 18", but there are also two or three tracks that are sandy where the 19" will for sure come in handy. Also the 19" will work much better in the mud if it raining.

IM DEF GETTING 19'S FOR MY STOCKERS!its def good to have extra tires anyway. i just put my stock 14 toothe back on so i can get alittle more gear out of the bike! the 13 is a great holeshot sprocket ,but if you bikes not stock it revs out way to fast. just my 2. at rocky my 13 suuuuuux!
