i have been thinking about going there, can someone give me some directions. i would also appreciate it if you posted a discription of what the place is like, and what they have to do there. thanks

Can't really help you on directions... you can look them up though.

The place is pretty nice.... it has a little bit of everything. There is a sand area. It isn't huge, but it is pretty big. In the area there is a drag strip I guess that would be towards the back from the main road in the place ( Just to let you know). There is a track there. When I went they were still building, but I got to ride on it and it was pretty fun. Lots of big hills there to climb. A pretty steep one is in the track area on the other side of the hill. If not too many people are there, get a buddy to watch out for you and you can climb the other side of it. You have to kind of jump off of the top. Ummm, there are alot of trails there... some really nice scenery if you go through them. Lots of mud if you are into that kind of thing. Best of all, there's always a bunch of cool people there.:D

is there anything worth filming there. i am making a vid and i need some more footage. but from what you said it kinda sounds like Laplace (the bonnicarie spillway). is it better than that place cause i def need something that is film worthy.

I would say that it is film-worthy. It is nothing like the Spillway at all. Trust me, I go there all the time. What are you making a film on?

it just a riding vid of me and some buddies, but i take my vids serious lol. i need some good action shots to impress my other friends that dont ride haha. ill definetly check it out then. do they charge for parking or anything?

Yeah, they charge for all of that. :( I would say that it would make a good riding vid. Are you into dirtbikes or fourwheelers? There is some serious fourwheeler action out there especially. LOL, last time I went there weren't too many actual drag bikes, so instead a guy with some bad 250r decided that he would make me and a bunch of other 450s look like a babies by racing us. He pulled up behind us, letting us take off, get a ways, and still come by us. That thing hauled. I hear that he goes alot, you may see him... that right there is some impressive footage. There were a few guys really hitting the jumps and hills, if you are into that, that could be some good footage right there. I tried to get some, but the camera that I used wasn't my own and kept screwing up on me. Whatever your thing is, there is a place for you to get some footage out there.:blah:

thanks for your help, i am defenitly going to go this weekend or the next. btw i have a yz250f and my dad has a 300ex that i did acouple of mods to so we do both quads and bikes ;)

Sweet. You guys should have alot of fun! The first day I went we really didn't go anywhere and I was kind of bummed. The day after, we explored the place and loved it. I would say a little over half of the guys with me had dirtbikes, so I can say that no matter what you ride, you can have alot of fun out there!

Don't know. A buddy of mine told me that last time it was pretty crowded. I wasn't going to go just because of the people, but my buddy is so set on it. I would really rather go elsewhere, but hey.. I think that I will have a great time!

It isn't dunes really. There is a sand area, and the smoothest darg strip around... but no dunes. :( Have you been to LA Dunes? I went a while back and had ALOT of fun.

i get confused with sicily island and alexandria dunes...lmao. but damn i would LOVE to go to some dunes

i probably will not get a response quick enough, but i was told by someone on these forums that sicily island was about a 40 min drinve from br. when i looked it up on mapquest they said 2 1/2 hours:eek2: if some one sees this and can give ma a response in the next 2 hours please let me now the "quick" way :(

Do you think that that the spillway will be okay to ride on Sunday. The weather says scattered storms are possible. I don't want to get down there and it pour down rain on me. Any opinions?

i just got back from the spillway and all i can say is WOW. this place is 100000000.95747 times better than it was a year ago. im definetly going back soon.

yeah the woods ws what they improved on the most. last time i went through there it was literally hell on earth. the whole thing was a swamp that you contantly had to pull you bike threw. it took me and my dad the better part of 2 hours to do a 3 mile loop :eek2: . they must have hauled some serious dirt in there though because even after a full day of riding i dont think ill even need to wash my bike. there was ZERO mud :D

Nice. :D I will be going pretty soon. Just picked up a new 06 450r yesterday as a playmate for my 05 450r and 440EX. Maybe next week or the week after. I have to tear down my 05 though.. or I at least should. Damn oil plug came out while I was riding.. in the sand and drag racing with no oil in the bike! What a "nice" feeling that was... makes you feel sick just thinking of it. The engine never even got that hot.. fan never came on, still full of compression and very powerful, but just to be safe. I think that the royal purple I was running may have saved it. Maybe I am just hoping hard enough to believe it. Either way, I am gonna check into it, and if there is something, have to rebuild it I guess. :( I will probably put a HC piston in it and do some headwork just for the heck of it. I may FINALLY get some pics of my babies up today though... just for everyone to see since I have something new. :p :D
