king pin is like heim joint i believe. I had them for my YFZ 450 and they were extremely tough.

i have the pro series on my 04 thats set up for MX, kinda wish i would have went with the laegers.

with the shocks fully extended, it puts about 6 &3/4" between the frame and ground (the bike is on a hydralic stand, no weight at all on the machine), so i have to run the shocks real stiff to keep the frame above 6" with me on the bike....

and in case the question comes up, yes i had the elka's revalved at precision, so they are right

I see they mount to the spindles with ball joints but what about at the frame? Do they use heims or fixed mounting points? Heims on top, fixed on bottom probably?

Prey did Allen leave Precision? If so where did he go? My Elka's were awesome that he did.

i got an e-mail from ellis a few months ago saying he thought Allen went back to DRI

and i did not mean to imply in the above post that the shocks are not dialed in, i am not happy with the a-arms. i think they should have a lot more down travel then they do

they are 19.75" long, thats what precision concepts/epic say they need to be.

Precision concepts not only sold me the arms, but rebuilt the shocks and resprung them.

but by looking at it, i agree with you, it looks like the shocks are too short

ohhhh ya, look how far down on the threads the adjustment is, looking at the pic above, when i pick the front in the air, there is no ..... and i mean NO down travel from the way it sits, thats how much pre-load is on there, and that is just to get ride height above 6"

you need either a longer shock (20.5 inch) or get you r shocks revalved with a longer shaft or valve body. thats way too low and with the preload all the way down like that you have to be springiung off jumps eayy?

I would agree with this. I saw someone on another forum that just bought a set of Epic long travels, and they say they are using 21" shocks. The 19.75's are not long enough to let the suspension droop.
