300ex rear shock length

Does anyone know the length of a stock rear 300ex shock? I am planning on putting it on a 2000 trx300fw for better suspension. Anyone ever tried it? I am mainly interested in the length eye to eye. Thanks in advance

Could someone with a 300ex please go measure your rear shock from eye to eye? This would help so much! Thanks
