My dads hemi (300c) seems to be pretty fast. I cant imagine what driving the srt-8 is like.

your friend must be a bad driver cus i've raced a frontier in our 04 hemi dodge ram and i beat it by quite a bit. and that was in the quarter mile.

The hemi ram only puts out 300hp?... wow my tundra isnt much lower than that and tundra's have one of the smaller v-8's for 1/2 ton pick ups

Old frotiers are slow, the newer ones with with the 4.0L V6 are beasts. Same motor as a 350z I believe. My Sierra with a 5.3L dumped flomaster, k&n, and tuned pcm will probably beat a hemi. I haven't gotten to race one yet to find out though.

srt-10's aren't **** on the street. traction is a definate issue with them.

and i don't know if they qualify as a truck.... doesn't have an 8ft bed :rolleyes:

Well duh... the SRT-10 is an 8 liter V10 that puts out 500 HP.
HP per liter: 62.5

The newest Lightning makes 380 HP out of a roots-blown 5.4 liter V8.
HP per liter: 70.4

Fair comparison? Not at all....

Now what IS impressive, is the fact that that Ford could modify that same 5.4 V8 to put out 550 HP in the Ford GT.
HP per liter: 101.9

Which has the most efficient power plant? I already did the math for you...

the srt8's are very quick.............I drove a few. Very fun to drive too.

as for the guys who don't believe in the srt-10, I can take you for a ride that will change your mind. ;)

and I have hauled my quad in the back with the tailgate shut.

I have a 05 Frontier Nismo Crew Cab 4x4, dont let the size fool you, but I am sure you did your homework before spouting off. I actually look forward to the day when a hemi truck shows up against the little V-6 at the light.

Never said I didn't believe in the motor. I know it's a super-strong motor because my friend owns one. Dodge trucks just aren't my thing. To each their own..
