I had gas leaking out onto my motor while my carb was off. I went back to finish work on the quad, 2 days later and when I came back the motor had like a rubbery gasket type material on it but it was falling off. I had noticed the stuff before, but the gas kinda took it right off. Was this excessive gasket or was it a homemade foam gasket. I was just wondering if I'm going to leak oil now or not. So the questioin is does gas leaking onto the motor cover ruin the gasket.
