I hav 2002 400 with dg oval complete exhaust k&nfilter with wrap and 6 1 inch holes in cover. also 22inchspidertracks i ride mostly open filds and homemade tracks i really need too know what can i doo for more power from top to bottom and im not rich neither what kind of carb or cam or what doo i need to do got smoked by a 250r not happy bout that

you can get a cam for around 120-130 that will do the trick. but in this case you may want to follow that with a piston. I paid $112 shipped for a 11:1 std bore.

OR you can go with a cdi box that can range from $70- $200 +\-
and the cdi is more noticable with a stock - mild engine

the cdi is a waste o f money, if the 250r is built right, you won't be able to do anything to not get smoked by him, given that you are equal riders.

engine work is about all you can do to get yourself a little closer...

he wont tell me but it cant be much i beat him till i ran out of gears than he beat me by a quad or two

if your just racing across a field and need more top speed, put a 36tooth rear sprocket on. that will give you quite a bit more top end and miles per hour. Also try running it once without airbox lid and see what it does. If you put a cam in or high comp. piston then a rev box would also help out.
