what does that do

the parking break block off allows you to remove the p-brake mechanism and will save on rear brake wear by at least 50%...you can also remove the cable and that would be a minor weight saving...

You lose 3 or 4 pounds of the bike thats about it. You may as well remove it. The e brake on the 400 is worthless unless you like frustration;) Best bang for buck would be an air cleaner and taking off the air box lid or drilling holes in it. You may need to rejet the carb but that is super easy and the jets cost 3 or 4 bucks a peice.

Have any of you guys heard of Gordon's Mods? These are some DIY things that a lot of guys do to their XR400's. They were figured out but some guy named Gordon (imigine that) and they seem to work well for decent increase in power. I have an XR, did the mods, and I'm very happy with them. I've been looking around and haven't seen any mention of them. I'm wondering if they are even possible on the EX.

If you haven't heard of...

Take a look and let me know what you think for the EX. I just got my '05 and haven't yet had a chance to look into doing the same or similar mods.
