I am putting 22 in Holeshots on the rear and 23 up front. How will that change the stock gearing? More/less bottom end?

If I put a 12t sprocket up front how will this tire size affect it?

I know most people run 18 in the rear so if anybody has any knowledge of this it would help.

I run 22" holeshot XCT rears on my R. If you keep the gearing stock ( 13/39) you will lose bottom end, but in my case, not gain any top end. I couldn't hold WOT in 6th gear with it not wanting to bog. After one ride like that i dropped to a 12 tooth sprocket. by doing that it basically makes it stock again. That one tooth makes a difference with 22"s

Thanks man, I didn't think I'd get answers.
Did you just drop one tooth on the front or go up one on the rear as well?

I saved this link from Gabe who created this chart. You can edit your tire sizes and gear choices and match what you like...

I kept the rear sprocket the same and just dropped to a 12 up front. I also run 20" tires when i race XC. even then i keep the 12/39. I lose a little top end, but in harescrambles im not worried about it that much. I run the 22" in really rocky and muddy races for the extra ground clearance.
