ipod / itunes

i have a ipod video that i have had for a while and i am wondering if any one knows how to change the setting on the itunes so if i delete a song on itunes that is already on the ipod can i set it so it wont automatically delete it of my ipod


like say i have 500 songs on my ipod and my freind has only 2 videos and no songs on his itunes is the a way to change the settings so i can just get those 2 vidos on my ipod instead of deleting all my songs

i dont have an ipod or anything. but u could have those videos sent to u threw AIM then put it on itunes. or threw a flash drive.
