I change mine every month along with oil and oil filters and all that stuff. I dont know if it helps at all but it just makes me feel more comfortable, thought I do notice it starts quicker.

Doubtful, plugs last a long time if your engine is running right. ESPECIALLY if you are running good spark plugs. I like NGK's iridium...your wasting your money every race

I'm sure the pro's change their plugs for every race. I doubt you have to but it would be one less thing to worry about. personally I change mine about 1 time a year.

I ran the same plug for a couple of years also, when I did change it the motor seemed to run better;)

Mines still from stock... The one from my 95 300 is still good too. Just take a wire brush and clean the end off and it should be good to go... I'm in the process of getting a spare incase, but don't plan on needing it.

the other reason I change it is because when I raced my 90 we always had to change it so I figured it was the same on the bigger quads.
