If you have a stock front end, most likely what is squeaking is the front shock bushings. Now if you say you lube and then it comes back later, then that tells me that you may be using a light lubricant such as WD-40. Is this true?

What I suggest if you already haven't, is to remove the upper and lower front shock bushings. Clean the crap out of them with brakleen or carb cleaner. Dry them off and then lube them up real good with a good waterproof marine grease.

When you reassemble it make sure to torque it all to spec. Too tight and you will get squeeks as well.

take the shocks off and remove the bushings. clean them in carb cleaner or some type of solvent. then wipe a waterproof grease all over the bushings, inside the shock, and on the bolt. Then reassemble. Problem solved. Also, btw, try and stay away from those areas with the waterhose b/c that will cause them to squeak again over time.

The steering stem bushing wil also squeak if it needs greased.

take your shocks out and grease the bushings or watever they call it. You need to put grease on them and it will fix the problem.

Its most definatly your front shock bushings like everyone said. The guy I ride with had the squeaks and it was the bushings.

The bushings dry out over time and need to be cleaned and regreased, no need for new bushings...

You'd be surprised how little grease these quads come with from the factory, next to none :ermm: . Why do you think so many people have their swingarm bolts frozen to the sleeves? Lack of maintainence, and a very small amount of lube from the factory.

Mine will squeek a bit after a race from the dirt and after I get it all cleaned up it goes away. I run aftermarket and mine do that too to a small degree and were maintence freaks.

Mine does the same thing after a hard ride at the MX track. It's not a stock front end though, so it's not the shock bushings. I find that the crossover sleeves on my PEP's get all full of dirt and start to make metal to metal contact causing the squeak. A clean up like you said and a shot of WD-40 in there stops the squeaks right up.
