View Full Version : 450r piston
When replacing the piston on an 05 450R, is there a wrist pin bearing, or any type of bushing? Does the wrist pin just slide into the rod? Thanks

I could be wrong but I think that the wristpin just slides into the rod and then is held in by the circlips you put in .
Hope this helped a little .

I just finished mine last night, theres no bearing or bushing, the pin just slides in. You'll have a load of fun putting the cylinder on, the rings were a royal pain in the *****. After four or five tries, I broke out the ring compressor and the cylinder slid on easily, but getting the compressor out was another story.:grr:

easy way to put c clip in, put open end in first and just push the back in. if open end is in it should just slide in with some force.
if you dont understand sorry but thats how i did it. i also had someone holding the piston so i could use both hands
