I'm new to banshee. I ride in trails alot and wide open areas too.
I want it to be fast so i can keep up with other quads.

Do you guys recomend getting a big bore kit for it or just piped and air filter it?

Should I get some +2 extend a arms or keep it with stock lenght with some elkas?

Should i get a aftermaket axel?

What kind of gearing do you guys recommend too.

Are they relible (sp) when you take care of them?

How do they do in the sand?

Are they good for jumping?

Can they take a beating like other quads?

Sorry for all the questions lol.

1. they're great in sand!
2. they're reliable up until u bore em out to much
3. if u change the suspension it can be one hell of a jumper
4. if u jump hard then i would get an aftermarket axle
5. they can take a beating if u change out the stock swingarm IMO
6. and i think the stock gearing is fine for wat ur doin

I can't wait till i find a banshee to build! ever since i rode one for the first time i've been adicted since.

A: Pipe, filter is enough starting out, cool heads, reeds

Should I get some +2 extend a arms or keep it with stock lenght with some elkas?

A: I have offsets on mine for now, if you ride xc keep er stock and get shocks

Should i get a aftermaket axel?

A: yes, I have a lsr axle, best axle I've ever had

What kind of gearing do you guys recommend too.

A: stock

Are they relible (sp) when you take care of them?

A: change the plugs every 2 months and your set to go, adjust the chain.

How do they do in the sand?

Can they take a beating like other quads?

A: yes

Pipe, jet and filters are fine. DON'T big bore it for trails

For trails the stock setup on geometry is good, but better shocks always make for a better ride.

Should i get a aftermaket axel?

I personally like a wider bike, but the stock axle will do fine for trails

I would go up on the front to a 15 and keep stock rear since front is only about 8 bux to change. Do this cause the gearing is too short stock. With taller gears you will shift less, and make for a better ride on trails or the track. 3rd gear will pull forever.

Are they relible (sp) when you take care of them?

Yes, never once let down by my shee.

How do they do in the sand?

Best sand quad hands down, and even the honda guys will agree with that.

Are they good for jumping?

H*ll no. These quads are at home on the drag strip, in the dunes, and can be fun on a trail, but they are not designed to jump like the trx 250 or the newer 450's, now don't get me wrong you can jump em, but they are not what I would call a graceful jumper. If you've jumped one enough you know that.

Can they take a beating like other quads? Yea even stock they take it and keep going. They don't take well to water though.
