Well everything i have is basically brand new with only 2 or 3 rides on all the parts i have on it. And A guy offered me a trade for a 2000 400EX. It has pro-circuit exhaust, k&N filter, shredders all-around, renthals with hand gaurds and a seat cover and nac graphics. Haven't decided yet because im still paying for the engine work I got done to it. but have around 4500 dollars in parts in it not counting the quad itself. What would you do?

I dont understand why would someone want to trade a 400ex for a 300ex.:huh If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Trust me.

Like I said everything on it is brand new. I haven't rode on the engine yet since it got sent off to megacycles($800 in engine). But I think he wants to race a 300 class or something idk.

Make sure you ride it first. If everything is in good order, or close to it, i'd go for it.

Man, I'll tell you what. Even though people rag on the 300EX and say "Don't spend that much money into something blah blah blah, etc..etc.." I would. I loved my old 300EX and the one I have now I am building and sinking nearly 6-7 grand into it from the bottom up restoring every bolt plus building it the WAY I WANT. FST is great with there motors making them so fast, that 440 EX won't touch them. Yea, it's costly. The guy was really nice and told me EVERYTHING possible since I am on a tight budget today repriced it to me from 1941 to 1800 even. Keep the 300 man. You will miss it once it's gone.

theres no way i would trade for a mildly upgraded 400...especially one from 2000...thats 6 years old... everything you've done to the 300, you will have to do to the 400 now...plus, the way you've got your bike set up, its much better than a near stocker....from what you've said, the 400 still has stock suspension...dont do it, you'll miss the little beast......

Well I didn't do it. Well like i said i haven't rode it since Its been in the shop(finnally got the motor done. Cost $992 for the engine stuff). But got to test ride it this past weekend and that thing rips!!!. Couldn't do it! Plus i thought about the reverse and was liike Fu&k it. So the 300 lives on> Will try to post some pics as soon as i get a camera.
