I heard they were supposed to be FAST. Do they just make gobs of torque or something?

An older stock yfz was like 34 I think... I dunno what the newest ones pull, but 37 will get you going pretty quick. Dales rev really really fast and still pull hard. Ride kinda like a two stroke with insane throtle response, but with torque. Actually, the throtle response may be what makes dales seem extremely fast. You just blip the throtle and the powers there with no delay whatsoever. Our strokers are putting out 45-50+ depending on porting.

the reason for the great throttle response is because of the efi , there hella fast just like the new zook

with a port job and a few minor mods.. you can see 50+ pretty easy on a stock crank and piston. wistech is making leaps and bounds with them, and its only getting better.

Well I wouldnt say its easy . There is only one engine that ever broke 50 using stock everything . Just my porting magic.
The dyno we use most often dyno's stock engines from 35 to 39 depending on the exhaust.
The efi is the secret to getting these engines to perform with the insane porting that me and Timbomoose are doing. Low rpm flow issues can be mapped out whereas if they were old school carbs we would be in serious trouble.
