I just ordered a +2 stem for my 450r and i got to thinking , and i was wondering if the stock brake lines and cables are going to fit and function freely / properly?? Does anyone that have a +2 on their 450r using the stock cables confirm this for me. It would be greatly appreciated.. thanks.

They will reach, I have a +2 Holz stem with a Holz +2 1/2 LT front end.....and stock brake lines reach just fine. You might wanna un-bolt the lil' junction box that sits in the frame to give it some "slack/play"....

Stock brakes are just as good as stainless anyways

I have a +1 3/4

The brake line justtt made it. I didnt have to re route it. I think with a +2 u will have to.

I think Honda jipped me. When I put on my plus 1.5" stem the front brake line was very tight at full turn both ways. I unbolted the braket that's just under the hood. It has a rubber gromet over the line that fits in the mount. I bent the brake line in various places to give me some more slack and then bolts the line back into the mount. But what I did, I bolted the line just below where it used to hold onto the gromet giving me the needed inch of slack.

I actually decided to go with the +1 stem and i am in good shape with the brake line length, although a little tight...im not sure they would have worked w/ +2 or not. Either way thanks for the replys.
