I just got an asv clutch perch and i was told to cut the two wires and connect them that used to connect to the stock perch...is this correct?

Those two wires activate a switch on the stock assembly, that allows you to start in gear with the clutch in, so the when the wires are connected you can start the quad in any gear. With them wired together you will be able to start in gear with the clutch out (not a good idea, but thats what happens).

thats a good idea...so when u are stuck or in a tight spot where u cant feather the clutch, give it gas and start it at the same time, you can use the starter to help get u moving.

you do the same thing in a 4x4 truck w/ a clutch defeat

i wouldn't do it all the time, but when u need it, u have it....:)

All I can say is not many people can multi-task well enough to make that a good thing:p
