AC pro peg mounting

On AC pro pegs, are the mounting tubes supposed to be even with the main frame rail or in front of it, if it isn't in front of it on mine, then they won't fit, do i need to "stretch" the nerfs like it says on the instructions? I can't see anything on their instructions cause they are in black&white.

at the front where the nerfs bolt onto the motor mounts??? if so one of the two i think the clutch lever side had to be tweak a tiny bit for the holes to line up perfectly, some do need to be bent and some don't... maybe yours is one of them like mine...
i like mine a lot, saved my toes(of corse i ment the feet) a couple of time,
