Has anyone ever replaced the rear brakes on a 250ex? Mine are seeming to be pretty worn. How exactly did you do it? Does the top of the gearcase just come off? There is no clymers manuel yet so I cant just go out and get one of those. Thanks.

on the right side you have to remove everything all the way to the brake panel. get a clymer recon manual. they are basically the same thing.

yeah, im probably going to get a recon one soon. What do you mean you have to remove everything on the right? Do you have to take the axle out?

Pay attention to the first page when you come to this site.

There is a Clymer 250EX 01 - 05 manual available now.

Yeah, I wasn't meaning to be rude. I just noticed it the other day, myself. Will probably have to order one also.

My drums are getting a little weak as well. I was working on mine this afternoon and it looks like you have to remove the large axle nuts to get the drum cover off. It looks like those are 40 mm nuts per my ruler. Have to get some wrenches for those, my crescent wasn't large enough.
