Last time I broke mine in, I got on it and rode it for about 20 minutes at an average speed in and out of different gears. Then hammered down and rode the piss out of it from that point on.

Well I wouldn't baby it but don't beat on it either. Start with the 20 minute ride like rico said trying not to stay at the same rpms for extended periods. Then shut her down and let the motor cool completely, around 2 hr's. Keep this up for around 2 tanks each time riding longer, then you should be safe to pin that throttle till your thumb aches. Its the heat up, cool down process that seats the rings thats why you need to let it cool between rides.:D

what they said, just make sure you dont baby it, it needs that pressure in their to seat the rings good

i asked my dealer and all he said was "one tank of gas" and yes, don't baby it.

just ride it as if it was a year old, or like you normally would

Ride it like you would ride Pam Anderson.

just sit at a idle and rev the engine up, in 1st gear when the engine is 3/4 throttle let go of the clutch and hold on. when you can ride a wheely through all the gears, it's broke in. lol
