Yesterday, i was riding around on pavement..... and there was a pretty strong wind behind me so i thought i would see how fast i could get my 400 up too. Well when i did, it just kept going faster and faster until the rev limiter made it start to slow down. Is this a bad thing, or is that what it is supposed to do?

the rev limiter is there to keep you from blowing the motor. The motor will stumble when it hits the limiter. A rev box will give you another 1000 rpm's and advance the spark some, not sure if they all do that but mine does.

It's not a bad thing, that's exactly what the rev limiter is supposed to do.
