In case anybody is having trouble resizing images to post on the site. I would use this program called IrfanView. You can download it from the following site:

http://www.download.com/IrfanView/3000-2192_4-10491149.html?tag=pop

Once installed just go to File > Open and browse for the image you want to resize, then hit the Image menu and choose Resize. There's a 640 x 480 option on the right hand side. This is a good size if you're emailing the image to someone, especially if they have a 56K dialup connection.

Good luck!!

I just use paint, I open the pic in paint, then at the top toolbar, I go to image, stretch scew, then I type in the 2 top boxes, 75 and 75, and it takes the image down to 75% of it's original size

works great.

I've been using www.Irfanview.com for years. It's simple to use and free:)

Are they .bmp? Those are usually huge files. Just converting them to .jpg might bring them down to postable size, you still may to resize though.

paint will not let you reduce the file size and adjust compression levels. This program will.

Infranview is a GREAT free program!

anyone know if theres a program out there that allows you to resize a group of images at once like resizing 10 at a time instead of doing them all seperate? ive been using irfanview for years and love it.

check the options on your camera, with my camera you can choose the picture size. so you dont need to resize them at all, its much faster and easier.
